Sunny is the Founder and Creative Director of Chinese Sunflowers language Studio, an unique program that was established to teach Mandarin to young children.

Sunny was born and raised in Taiwan, where her main job was an occupational therapist. She worked in Special Education department of  l-an county government , while teaching  Mandarin to non-Mandarin speakers . She decided to move to New York because she married her husband. As a professional she studied occupational therapy in Taiwan  from 1993-1997; later she got the certification to evaluate children's sensory integrative function in US. In 2006 she had succeeded to complete "Teaching Chinese as a second language program" by Taipei Language Institute.

With a background in occupational therapy and 8 years experience working with children, especially those children with special needs, she became a person who knows children very well. She teaches ( actually she like to say " play with ") children in accordance with their aptitude. She also has a big heart.  She likes to help people.  She had volunteered in the temple over 5 years when she lived in Taiwan. She even flew to India and volunteered teaching mandarin and promoted Chinese culture for several months. She also feels an intrinsic commitment to participate and support any activity that may contribute to the growth of our rich Chinese culture and the Chinese language in this nation.

Right now she teaches Mandarin in Chinese weekend School and do tutoring for several children. She wants to expand her program and let more children have a wonderful journey to know Chinese language and culture.
